Who we are

Nomenwise ("we", "us") runs this website and service. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Privacy questions and requests: manager@nomenwise.com.

What we collect

  • Launch list. Your email address, and your company name if you give it.
  • Contact messages. Your name, company, work email, volume, destinations and whatever you write to us.
  • Your files. Spreadsheets you upload. They hold product names, descriptions, origin, destination, value and similar columns. Please do not upload personal data.
  • Results. The classification and tariff file we create from your upload.
  • Technical data. Basic server logs such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept to run and protect the service.

We do not collect payment details today. We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data.

How we use it

  • To tell you when Nomenwise launches and to answer your questions.
  • To process the file you upload and email you the results and a download link.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To improve classification quality, using the content of your files only if you agree to it, or in a form that cannot identify you.
  • To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising.

Legal bases (EU and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:

Cookies

This website uses only essential storage that it needs to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics later, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it and update this section.

Service providers

We share data only with companies that help us run Nomenwise, under contracts that limit their use of it:

  • Cloudflare: website delivery, protection against attacks, and storage of uploaded files and results.
  • Application hosting (virtual private server): OVHcloud, in France.
  • Email delivery: Resend.
  • AI models used to classify products, accessed through OpenRouter. Our terms with them forbid training on your data.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, or in a merger or sale of the business, with notice to you.

International transfers

Nomenwise is operated from Ukraine, so your information is processed there. Our providers may also process it in the United States and other countries. When data moves from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to a country without equivalent protection, including Ukraine, we rely on safeguards the law accepts, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK addendum where needed). You can ask for a copy at manager@nomenwise.com.

How long we keep data

DataKept for
Launch listUntil you unsubscribe, then deleted within 30 days.
Uploaded files and results30 days after your results are ready, then deleted.
Contact messages30 days after our last message, then deleted.

We may keep limited records longer where the law requires it.

Your rights

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, and send it to you or another company. You can withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

In the United States, residents of California and other states with privacy laws can ask to know, access, correct and delete their personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, and we treat browser signals such as Global Privacy Control as an opt-out. We will not treat you worse for using these rights.

To use a right, write to manager@nomenwise.com. We may need to confirm it is you. We reply within one month, or 45 days where US law gives us that time.

Emails from us

Launch emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also reply "unsubscribe". We will stop writing to you promptly. Replying to a launch email with a question is welcome.

Security

We protect data with measures described on our Security page. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and will tell you and the authorities about a breach where the law requires it.

Children

Nomenwise is for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, for people on our list, tell you by email.
